While I’m not gonna explain in great detail why I believe Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) is one of today’s great artists (as I did last month), take a couple minutes and listen to this fascinating “rerub (remix)” of his track Skinny Love.
As the song has always been one of favorite Bon Iver tracks I was skeptical of a remix, but this pleasantly surprised me. Unfortunately there isn’t much known about producer/dj Das Kapital, but I’m sure if they keep producing gems like this one, there will be.
By throwing on a drumbeat, and manipulating Vernon’s voice, Das Kapital have crafted quite the masterpiece.
