Horse Feathers – Thistled Spring

We got this great band from Portland, Oregon in the USA that has really been flying under the rader, especially having released as great of a record as they did this past year.  Thistled Spring is a special sort of album that band founder/frontman, Justin Ringle, made with the help of Nathan Crockett, Catherine Odell and Sam Cooper.  Together, the quartet, with some help at times, came out with the record Thistled Spring, on which, my favorite song is definitely the one that goes by the same name.

Thistled Spring (the song) starts off with a soothing orchestral introduction featuring a piano, cello and violin.  I must say this song could be incredible without the singing of Ringle, but his voice is absolutely beautiful and mesmerizing.  Altogether this song is a slice of heaven basically carved out and put in mp3 format.  ya… weird, yet true.  Listen and be the judge for yourself, comment on the article or send me and email (pooch@thisbonustrack.com)
