We’re featuring a super-talented quartet from California right now. Cold War Kids, comprised of Nathan Willett, Matt Aveiro, Matt Maust and Jonnie Russell, hail from Long Beach, and are really great at integrating some of that laid-back Beach Boys/Surfer sound into their music. Their first two EPs really led to widespread internet acclaim and then it spilled over into their first LP, landing them a label to release it on, Downtown Records. That LP, Robbers & Cowards features two of my favorite CWK songs, Hospital Beds and We Used To Vacation.

Their next LP, Loyalty to Loyalty came out in 2008 and since then, they’ve really really taken off, with an EP last year and a brand new album set to come out on the 25th! From this, we have some great songs including a Passion Pit remix.
