So it looks like I may have been one of the last people on earth to have ever listened to New York City based alternative rock band, Blonde Redhead. Just the other day I was exchanging music with Pooch and a couple friends in town from LA. One of them mentioned Blonde Redhead, expecting both Pooch and I to have heard of them. Turned out neither of us had. Since then, I’ve been listening band none stop. Although I have yet to conquer the band’s full eight album discography, their 7th album, entitled 23 that was released in 2007 has really struck me as something extraordinary. If there is anyone like myself who previously hadn’t heard of the band, they are an international trio composed of Japanese lead singer Kazu Markino, and Milan-born twin brothers Simone Pace and Amedeo Pace. The band was founded in 1993, and have been making making music for the better part of two decades. Off 23, an album that could be classified as “Dream Pop”, the title song, 23 as well as Dr.Strangeluv have became two of my instant favorites. Over the next few weeks I’ll be keeping everyone posted as I catch up on all the Blonde Redhead i’ve been missing over few years!

Blonde Redhead was a big part of my teens. It started out with ‘Misery is a Butterfly’ witch I still feel as my fav. 23 is one of the better album, if not the best.
Enjoy the non-stop listening
Misery Is a Butterfly is one of my favorite albums and I think their strongest. Strange and sensual.
