Here at ThisBonusTrack.com we strive to bring you what we believe is the best new music out there. While providing you with what is new and relevant today is something that we take very seriously, our primary goal is to share any music, new or old that we believe is worth more than a couple listens. With that being said, if you’ve heard of the artist or the song we’re featuring and it’s is more than a few months old, we don’t really care as there is a good chance that someone else hasn’t heard the track and is hearing something brand new. On that note, you can be certain that the band i’m writing about today will not be brand new to everyone.

Blind Pilot is a American indie folk band based in music rich Portland, Oregon. If your a fan of the genre or really enjoy the likes of Bon Iver or the Freelance Whales, I can assure you Blind Pilot will quickly climb the ladders of your itunes most played list in no time. Before you go on and listen to the tracks below, I must warn you of a couple things. First off the band’s 2008 album 3 Rounds and a Sound is incredibly good and highly addictive. You may say to yourself…well why is that a bad thing? Well, I guess its not, but if you really enjoy the music and find yourself yearning for more, you’ll soon find out there isn’t more than a couple unreleased tracks and covers. Nevertheless, according to a band tweet back in 2010 and some fans on the band’s last.fm page, there seem to be plans for a new album release in the near future.

Fronted by talented lead singer Israel Nebeker, the band inherits a genuine sound and style that keeps them relevant, touring and popular even without releasing a new album in the last three years. So while i’ll share a couple of my favorite tracks with you now, i’d urge check out BlindPilotMusic.com and see if they’ll be playing be in your home city this summer accompanied by the likes of Avi Buffalo and Josh Ritter.
