Free Energy – Stuck On Nothing

I figured it might be a good idea to post something that isn’t Bon Iver before doing a short album review in the next day or so. Although i’ve been very busy with work over the past couple days and haven’t been completely dedicated to ThisBonusTrack.com, I have had some time to listen to music I want to share with you now. Free Energy is another band that I can’t believe hasn’t been featured on the site yet. I guess it might be because they released their most recent album last year before our blog TBT even existed.

For those of you who don’t know the band, I hope you’ll get something out of this post. Drawing influence from the likes of Fleetwood Mac and Bruce Springsteen, Free Energy is a Philadelphia based band with an ageless appeal. Despite being over a year old, the band’s most recent album, Stuck On Nothing is a fun and infectious summer listen that i’d recommend to anyone. Whether you looking for a track to add to your summer playlist or a band to jam out to, Free Energy will not disappoint. Check out Dream City, Psychic Lighting and Something In Common as they highlight my album favorites.
