I woke up this morning in the mood for some Strokes, but unfortunately I have completely outplayed them in the past couple of years. They are like my go-to band when I feel like listening to some good rock, but I feel like if I keep playing them I will ruin them forever. I decided to give Darwin Deez a chance today, they’ve been another one of those bands that I’ve been putting off for months, waiting for the right time to listen to them. Well they have really surpassed my expectations and I can’t stop listening. Their sound is fresh but they have semi nostalgic feel to them that reminds me of all the music I used to listen to when I really got into indie rock. They are definitely going in my 2011 summer playlist.
