California native Jimmy Tamborello, better known as Dntel, has a long history in the music world. Tamborello started making music in junior high, when his song-writer father bought him a whole bunch of instruments to make his own music. Throughout the ’90s, he began to make a name for himself in the music world, from performing as a DJ and working on college radio, to a brief stint with indie rock band Strictly Ballroom.
Dntel came out with his first album in 1999 and has made 7 others since. But Dntel isn’t famous for the work he does alone. Tamborello has collaborated with some of the most talented and influential musicians of our time (Bright Eyes, Grizzly Bear, Why? to name a few). Most notable, though, is the product that emerged when Tamborello joined forces with Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard – The Postal Service.
But this post isn’t about genius collaborations, it’s about Dntel himself. The artist is famous for his original mixes, which all have an electro-pop touch. Here are a few of the talented musicians greatest hits:

Dntel is amazing. I was actually a late bloomer to his music and he is the reason I started blogging. Roll On is one of the most beautiful songs in the world.
