Someone requested this the other day… why not. Justice’s D.A.N.C.E was the track that got most people that I know into electro music back in ’07 when french electro blew up in North America. This song is the perfect bridge between dance and electro, especially if you listen to the whole † album where every track is a perfect mix of hard electro and classic dance music.

Let’s start off with the very first sample of the track. The tracks starts off with the weird radio static sound effect that sounds like you’re switching radio stations. This is from Skee-lo’s 1995 track Volcano. This sample is left as is, the same as it is heard on the intro of Skee-lo’s Volcano. Unfortunately the only problem with this is that whenever Skee-lo’s Volcano comes on the radio, there will be a lot of young lads that will forever be confused and let down when they realize that its not Justice playing, but some 90′s rapper they’ve never even heard of.

The next sample is the dance shots we hear near 40 seconds and 2:20 into D.A.N.C.E. If you didn’t already recognize it, the sample is from Sister Sledge’s We are Family, a track that has been providing wedding DJ’s a cheesy track to play when there’s no one dancing for many many years. You can hear the sample in the original at around 20 seconds into the song.

The other funky dance shots that play throughout the rest of the track are from Boney M’s Sunny, which they also used for Phantom pt.II. You can hear the sample in the original near 15 seconds into the song.

Lastly, the sample used at the intro and throughout most of the track is Britney bitch… with Madonna of course. Justice sampled that 2003 track that they did together Me Against The Music. The French duo also sampled this track for their track Valentine for both the lyrics and the very beginning of the track.

I swear, the only times I ever hear of Boney M. is when someone is sampling them. Also, I never knew that fuzz was from Skee-lo. How sad, the only thing sample-able from that track was distortion heheh. If you did a post on songs that sample D.A.N.C.E it’d be perhaps the longest one on this site. Jay Z’s always takes the cake for me though, making it sound like they’re saying something else completely. Alright imma shut up now.
