Are you looking for 2011’s breakthrough indie-folk band? If so, today happens to be your lucky day. Wild Child, an Austin Texas based band has just released their debut album entitled Pillow Talk on Major Nation.A couple weeks ago I was fortunate enough to receive an email about the upcoming album, granting me permission to hear it in its entirety. Before actually listening to it, I checked out the band’s Facebook page (click here) to see gage how the band was doing with its marketing and promotion.
With just over 600 likes and a seriously cool display picture, I figured I’d give the band a shot. Let’s just say I’m happy I did.
Before Wild Child evolved into band of six, it was an acoustic duo consisting of Kelsey Wilson and Alexander Biggins who met just six-weeks before going on tour with a Scandinavian band. Composing their first ten songs while on tour, the couple/duo haven’t looked back, adding stings, keys, bells, banjo and percussion to their already vocal strengths.
Mastered by Grammy-winning sound engineer, Pillow Talk is about as strong as you’ll get for a debut album today. Although I wish I could share the whole album with you, I’d urge you to support the young band by buying the album on the band’s website. In the meantime, do yourselves a favor and listen to Pillow Talk, Day Dreamer and Tale of You & Me if your a fan of good music.

The worst thing you can do is send fans of music to itunes to support a band.
Just because it’s on itunes doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to the band’s site and SUPPORT THEM DIRECTLY. itunes don’t support artists, it supports another music industry.
