The Miracals – Give Me A Chance

Way back in October of last year I wrote about The Smiles, a young American band who met while attending University of Southern California. At the time the band had just released their first EP entitled Hermosa, featuring tracks such as California Girls and Cala Cola, both of which I found incredible catchy and well worth a good listen. Fast-forward over a year and The Smiles have not only released a new EP, but have also officially changed their name to The Miracals.

If you were wondering why the band had to chance their name, it was due a legal conflict with a local children’s dental office. Anyways, although The Smiles may have a new name, their second EP Give Me a Chance, released this past November features a similar style of laid-back Beach Boys inspired music as we saw from Hermosa. So whether you are a fan of The Beach Boys, the early Beatles or even The Morning Benders, I’d suggest you take a listen to Give Me A Chance and Girlfriend off the new EP and even download the entire thing for free via the band’s bandcamp if your digging it. Also if you wanted to hear California Girls and Cala Cola make sure you visit my older post on the band here!
