Fleet Foxes – The Shrine/An Argument Music Video
Just about everyone loves the Fleet Foxes these days, and we here at TBT are no exception. Ever since the release of the band’s self-entitled debut album over three years ago, the Fleet Foxes have become the standard to which I indirectly compare much of the indie folk music I listen to today. With consistently beautiful harmonies, expressive lyrics and crowd-pleasing performances, there is really no surprise that the band has reached its current level of popularity.
Just over a month ago the band released a video to The Shrine/An Argument, the longest track off Helplessness Blues. Directed by Sean Pecknold, the brother of the band’s lead singer Robin, the video is a haunting animation that features the life journey of an antelope that travels through fantastical landscapes amidst monstrous creatures. The video is super trippy and definitely worth a watch.
Although we’ve already posted the video for the Fleet Foxes’ Grown Ocean once before, it seems appropriate to have these to beauties together. The track also from the band’s sophomore album Helplessness Blues features the video footage taken throughout the creation of the album.
THE BONUS TRACK: Blue Ridge Mountains is a Fleet Foxes track that never seems to get old for me and is possibly the track that made me fall in love with the band. Check out the track as well as “A Take Away Show” brought to you by the Blogotheque.
