If you haven’t yet heard of British indie-rock band Bloc Party, you’re in for a treat. Based in London, England, this four-man group rose to fame following the 2005 release of their first studio album “Silent Alarm,” and since then have completed two more full-length albums titled “A Weekend in the City” (2007) and “Intimacy” (2008).

Although Bloc Party’s later albums were successful, both critics and fans noticed a dramatic change in musical style from the band’s original release. Instead of the raw indie sound that led “Silent Alarm” to win two “album of the year” awards and a platinum spot on Britain’s charts, the band’s later projects were more electronic-oriented and featured significantly less guitar involvement.

With this in mind, Bloc Party recently announced that their upcoming 2012 album will return to their indie roots and attempt to recapture the traditional sound that originally made them famous. Until then, here are a few of the best tracks from the band’s most successful album to date.
