After listening to Thundercat’s Golden Age of Apocalypse album for the first time in 2011, I fell in love with his very hypnotizing track entitled For Love I Come, a cover of George Duke’s 1975 For Love (I Come Your Friend). Thundercat also samples Duke’s song in his thematic track entitled Hoooooooo, in case his cover was not enough of a tribute to his undeniable influence and role model.

BONUS TRACK SAMPLE: Since we are already on the Thundercat topic, I thought I’d also include the Thundercat/Flying Lotus collaboration on their Cosmogramma album for the track Mmmhmm featuring Thundercat’s vocals, which he later used in his Is It Love? track (you can hear the vocals from Mmmhmm near the end of Is It Love?)
