Who is Rhye? That is a good question…………
Not much is known about this mysterious Los Angeles based electro-pop duo. The band has left no trails, tracks, or prints. Not a smidge. Both their Facebook and Tumblr pages have kept their identities completely concealed. There has been some speculation of the possibility that the twosome has European backgrounds and both are also members of two well-known bands. But then again, the lead singer could very well be my mum and I’d have no clue.
What I am certain about is that Rhye (whoever they may be) are producers of some wonderful art. Title track from their debut EP, “Open,” must be one of the sexiest songs of 2012. The lead singer provides a gloriously immaculate yet ghostly voice that literally transmits chills up every inch of your spine. With the sweetest lyrics, velvety vocals and a calming beat, Rhye delivers a beautiful love song right from the first few lines:
I’m a fool for that shake in your thighs
I’m a fool for that sound in your sighs
I’m a fool for your belly
I’m a fool for your love
No doubt, this song is downright sensual. Its compelling nature leaves you completely attached, similar to the feeling of falling in love. Have a look at the just-as-sexy music video (and I will warn you it does contain sexual content and nudity). Brilliantly filmed though, the video is even more captivating than the song:

Fans of Rhye have compared their sound to the likes of Sade and Enya while other fans have suggested a male lead singer….
Whatever Rhye has planned up their sleeves, they are doing a great job. We are always attracted to the unknown. I love games and I love mysteries and I’ve always wanted to be a spy. I am utterly intrigued and I know I will definitely be keeping tabs on Rhye’s every move, so stay tuned for a possible revelation.
