I don’t know much about the alternative band Ambassadors which makes it very difficult for me to tell you all about them… but I’ll give it my best shot.
A few days ago I came across one of their songs on the internet and fell instantly in love, convinced that I had finally found something worth writing about for a blog that I’ve been severely neglecting for weeks now. However, with very little information about the Ambassadors on the web, I had to do some serious research in order to find out more about them.
Website NY Social Status interviewed the band a few days ago and provided me with some much needed details on their history (thank you!). Formed only two years ago by brothers Sam and Casey Harris with their friends Noah Feldshuh and Adam Levin, Ambassadors’ first CD was released in January 2012 and achieved large success, leading to a performance at Lollapalooza, a tour with artists such as Lights and Hellogoodbye, and an upcoming gig with the widely-known indie band The Lumineers.
You may have already heard their song “Unconsolable,” a single from their debut album “Litost.” However, it is the title track that really drew me in to the band’s style. Take a listen to the studio version of the song “Litost” by clicking the link below, and prepare yourself to get lost in the beautiful and moving sound that is the Ambassadors.

THE BONUS TRACK: Watch Sam Harris’ flawless acoustic performance of the song “Litost” at a live session at Lollapalooza this past year.
